Independent contractor engagement. Engagements are 1099 independent-contractor arrangements with Malcolm Jermaine Henry Consulting, LLC (d/b/a MJH Consulting), not employment. Submitting an application, and any onboarding, does not create an employment relationship, an offer of employment, or a guarantee of work, hours, or income. You would control the manner and means of your work and be responsible for your own taxes and any required insurance.

How pay works. MJH is an early-stage boutique firm. These are 1099 contract roles with no salary or retainer. You are paid an hourly rate for the engagements you deliver, paid when the client pays, plus a bonus on any client you bring in yourself. Onboarding does not guarantee an engagement. The binding terms are set out in a subcontractor agreement, which we review together before any work begins.
